Bud-N-Flower Booster Carefree

Long lasting exotic flowers makes this ornamental plant a designer favorite!
Includes two plantable plugs of Bird of Paradise plant.
Year-round festive blooms add a tropical feel to any patio garden! A Native of South Africa, the Bird of Paradise gets its name because the flower stalk resembles the neck of a bird with a striking colorful head. These exotic blooms are long-lasting, with several flowers coming from one stalk. The highly colored bracts, or modified leaves, are formed into green, red, and or purplish canoe-like structures. Bracts vary between 4-8 inches long, depending upon the age and size of the Birds of Paradise plant.

Is this for you?
It blooms best in full sun with a rich, moist soil and has moderate tolerance to wind, salt and drought. Bird of Paradise like bright, direct sunlight and when grown indoors, require the sunniest window and supplemental artificial lighting.

A very easy-to-grow indoor flowering plant. Even if you do not live in a tropical region, strelitzias can easily be grown as potted plants. A hardy plant in warmer climates, should be overwintered indoors during the winter months and moved outdoors during the summer in colder zones.
