This rex begonia has a striking color pattern and its eye-catching burgundy red and silvery-green foliage helps brighten up even deep shady areas. Rex Begonia's 5-9 inch leaves, and upright mounding habit, will be the star of the show for months on end in any shade garden, especially when grown in containers.

This low maintenance plant and easy to grow! Jurassic Rex Begonias were bred by Plantsmith Nursery in Oregon. Selected and trialed over several years, the series was selected to be easy to grow and uniform. The vigor in the series also means great garden performance, making 'Red Splash' a great option! Deer don't particularly care for this plant and will usually leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. Other than basic maintenance, they require no other pruning or cutting.
