Silvery fronds with a touch of purple and deep red stems make this fern stand out in the garden.
Includes one pot of 'Japanese Painted' fern.
The name of this fern comes from the fact that Japanese painted fern plants appear to have been delicately painted. Named Perennial Plant of the Year in 2004 by the Perennial Plant Association, these beauties brighten any shady spot in any landscape.

Is this for you?
Limited fertilization needed. Gentle morning sun and a rich, composted soil are vital to the proper care for Japanese painted ferns. Consistently moist and well-draining or composted soil optimizes growth.

Perfect for shady spots! Depending on the summer heat of your garden, Japanese painted fern plants can be planted in light to almost total shade. However, some sunlight will be needed to produce the colorful fronds. Southern areas require shade for successfully growing this plant. Avoid planting in the hot afternoon sun that may burn the delicate fronds. These plants can be planted in containers or nearly any application, and can even be cut and added to vases of fresh cut flowers.

Can be grown throughout most of the continental U.S. An excellent value and investment for any gardener. **This product cannot ship to the following states and territories AK, HI, PR, VI, GUAM.
