Huge, exotic flowers command attention from passersby!
Includes three bareroot Hibiscus, one each of 'Berry Awesome', 'Tie Dye', and 'Vintage Wine'.
Tropical-looking blossoms are impossible to ignore with this native, cold-hardy perennial collection. With larger blossoms than traditional tropical hibiscus, these hardy varieties have bright, crinkled, tissue paper-like flowers. Blossoms cover each dense, well-branched shrub top to bottom, and each plant reaches a mature size of 4 to 5 feet tall and wide. 'Berry Awesome' bears large 8-inch plum-colored flowers with bright red eyes. 'Tie Die' produces huge 10-inch flowers with a bright pink outer band fading into a white inner half and a cherry-red center eye. 'Vintage Wine' has near-black buds opening to reveal huge 7-inch scarlet-red flowers with deep red eyes.

Is this for you?
Largest blooms of all the Hibiscus species! These exotic perennials attract pollinators such as butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden and resist damage from browsing deer.

Vigorous perennials that thrive in nearly any part of the country. An abundance of blossoms open day after day from mid-summer to fall. Hardy Hibiscus perform best in areas that receive regular summer water, such as garden beds, borders, or anywhere your hose can reach. Hibiscus look lovely behind low-growing perennial borders or as a seasonal screen. Hardy Hibiscus tolerate wet soil and add a tropical feel to the garden when planted near a water feature.

Moist soil and bright sun are best, but this adaptable hibiscus tolerates partial shade too! Remove spent flower heads to encourage continuous flowering and prevent seed development.

What to expect:
Plants ship to you based on your geographic location. We ship throughout the spring, starting in early March. Your shipment will be based on the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map which we have correlated to your zip code. This means you will receive your plants when it is the right time to plant in your area of the country.

You will receive three dormant bareroot Hibiscus, one each of 'Berry Awesome', 'Tie Dye', and 'Vintage Wine'. These plants were carefully selected and packed for safe transport directly to you. Open immediately and follow the instructions for planting and care in the planting guide available online.

Plants reach maturity in 24 to 36 months. However, growth can be affected by many factors including fertilization and climate factors unique to your planting location.

Expect heaviest blooming in mid-summer with continuous blooming until frost. You will likely see a few flowers the first year with more and more flowers each year as the plants grow.

Reviews from our customers...
I just planted them in my back yard - some in the soil directly and some in barrels. They are doing really well - beautiful leaves and new growth.
