Pomegranates are one of the most beneficial fruits you can eat, and now you can grow them on your sun-lit patio! Delightful trumpet-shaped flowers emerge amongst glossy, narrow leaves in spring, maturing to 2-inch fruits that ripen in fall. Sweet and delicious, each fruit is packed with juicy arils and high in antioxidants, vitamin C, potassium, and phosphorus.

Is this for you?
Eye-catching red flowers entice pollinators such as bees, hummingbirds. and butterflies! Pomegranates have been revered throughout Asia and the Middle East since ancient times. With a sweet flavor similar to strawberries and raspberries, pomegranate arils are delicious when sprinkled in salads, added to desserts, or simply eaten fresh.

Flowering begins in spring with fruit ripening in fall. In cool climates, this dwarf variety should be grown in a container and moved into the house or garage for winter. Gardeners in warm climates can enjoy its beauty in garden beds or borders, or as a stand-alone ornamental accent. Pomegranates display stunning fall colors when grown outdoors year-round.

Hardy and productive despite its small size! Plant in well-drained soil, provide at least six hours of sun each day, and water frequently during the first year. Pomegranates resist deer and thrive in hot, dry soil once established.
